Blackout: Production Update
almost 6 years ago – Mon, Apr 16, 2018 at 01:34:27 AM

I apologize for taking so long to post an update. I had some personal issue in my life come up that postponed the production of the game as well as all other aspects of my life. I'm sorry for not getting back to all of you sooner. I am back however, and committed to getting the game that I believe to be an awesome experience into my hands and into yours The final card proof sheets that you see here are the last aspect that needed to be setup at the factory for full production. All cards, counters and diecut board components are ready for factory production, only the figure molds need to be finalized at this point.

I appreciate all the support and feedback and I'll do whatever it takes to get the game out to all of you as soon as the molds are complete.

Update on Blackout

Hello everyone, its been quite some time since I've placed up an update. The last few months have been spent making changes to the files so they would print correctly. They were completed at the beginning of the year but required adjustments that effected hundreds of files. Some files needed to be broken up in new ways so the printer could adjust individual layers, while others had to be lightened or darkened after reviewing early print tests. This is what I was doing for the first couple of months. After initial round of feedback was completed, the fonts required another pass so all 600+ files needed to be adjusted again to meetup with the printer specs so that could be processed by their graphic designer. In addition, redesigned the side panels of the box to improve the look overall and the box had to get slightly deeper to hold the final die cut sheet totals.

I'll be showing the new box image for everyone to see. I will let everyone know what the factory says at this point, I have completed all changes and I'm now waiting for their final say.

Thank you again, this extra time ensures that the components are printed with the best final results. They handle GW and privateer accounts and they are doing a great job at looking at every aspect of printing and production and making the necessary corrections. I will update again once I have heard back from them.

Update for production
about 7 years ago – Wed, Feb 01, 2017 at 08:43:44 PM

Hello everyone, I wanted to let you all know that I submitted all final files at the end of the year and the factory returned with feedback.

The feedback had to do with how the file were setup to work within their bleed constraints.

Over the last few weeks I have gone through each and every image and rebuilt the bleed area by hand so the contents of the game are able to print within the factory guidelines.

Once I get the "all clear" message from the factory, I will let everyone know that the final print has begun.

Thank you again.

November Update
over 7 years ago – Wed, Nov 16, 2016 at 11:00:23 PM

Hello, I wanted to update everyone on the status of Blackout.

After sending the base files over to the factory for all the rooms, halls and counters, some changes had to be made all the diecut sheets so they could fit into the box properly. All those changes have been made and all flies are final at this point, I am now waiting on the final proof to begin the full production run. Once I receive the final proof, I'll post photos and give everyone the final date for the games to arrive.

Thank you for your patience and I will be posting a breakdown on the expansion next month as well.

The images below were the ones that had to be redesigned and rebuilt. Blackout will feature 16 double sided diecut sheets when it ships.
